Michael Stone

Executive Inventor

Michael has more than 11 years of diverse experience in public and private education. His experience includes expertise in delivering professional development in instructional technology integration, project based learning, specialized program development, project management, and maker-ed.

 

Michael's experiences in and out of the classroom provide him with a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges of today’s education ecosystem from a classroom implementation perspective. Michael cofounded devX following an 11-year career in both the public and private sectors. He has served as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow at the National Science Foundation, project based learning and fabrication laboratory director at STEM School Chattanooga, advanced and remedial mathematics teacher in a traditional public school, and physics and chemistry teacher in an accredited private school.

 

Michael holds a master's degree in education in instructional leadership from Tennessee Tech University, and a bachelor's of science in computer science (with certification in secondary mathematics and history) from Bryan College.
